Stability of Filter

An LTI filter is said to be stable if the impulse response h(n) approaches zero as n goes to infinity

Every finite order nonrecursive filter is stable. only feedback coeficients can cause instability.

In other words we can say that filter trasfer function is stable if and only if all its poles are inside the unit circle in the z-plane.
